May 2016, Ray; I booked this cozy villa for my family. They enjoyed staying here, house keeper Nofi was really helpful all the time. Located close to restaurants & bars spot about 5 pr 10 minutes by walk. Highly recomend for family stay!

April 2016, Mike: We had a great stay at the Colonial Villa. The house was beautiful and very comfortable and clean. Our two boys absolutely loved the pool. The gardens and yard are absolutely stunning. Nofi and Dayu were very helpful and made delicious breakfast everyday. Nofi showed us the way to the beach, gave us suggestions on what was nearby and arranged a driver for us for an afternoon. Sharon also had sent a very nice list of activities for us and the kids. We tried several of their suggestions and they were great. The beach is very close and easy to walk to. It is also very close to restaurants and shops. The neighbor hood is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend the Colonial Villa. You cannot go wrong staying here.

February 2016, Victoria: We felt welcomed even before we stepped through the door at The Colonial Villa. Nofi, the house manager, met us at the car with a big smile and helped us in with our luggage. Much appreciated as we were traveling with my husband's elderly parents as well as my children. We were so relaxed sipping our welcome drinks (homemade iced tea and ice water) and cooling off with the ice cold hand towels Nofi had prepared for us. The fresh cut tropical flowers throughout the home were such a nice touch as well. We really can't say enough nice things about Nofi. She'll definitely make your stay at Colonial Villa wonderful. Sharon, our host, went out of her way with enthusiasm in recommending things to do for fun during our stay as we corresponded via Airbnb in the weeks leading up to our trip. She had previously lived in this home with her family, so the home itself had a very warm and inviting feel to it, much different than the feel of an investment rental property. I must point out how incredibly comfortable the beds were! And the linens as well. It's really a beautiful place, just like the photos. There is a European feel to the neighborhood with peaceful meandering roads that lead to the town and beach. My children loved walking outside of the Colonial Villa compound and being greeted by the neighborhood free range rooster and chickens! We loved the sounds of nature and had fun listening and viewing the beautiful gekkos and birds that came to visit the garden. Nofi will go around and close up the home for you before any bugs descend in the evening (during the day it is gloriously open air). I did not get one mosquito bite. Definitely rent bicycles from the little shop in town. We had fun riding them everywhere. Much better views than you'd get inside of a taxi. Don't forget to ride up to the little café and try out their menu. Or stay home in the mornings as we did and have a leisurely home cooked breakfast prepared by Nofi. January 2016, Sanna: Wow, what an amazing time we had in the Colonial Villa! We spent 4 weeks there with our 2 young boys (one 3 years and one 9 months), and their grandmother, and the whole experience was brilliant. The villa itself is of really high quality, and it had everything we needed. The villa was spacious and perfect for the 5 of us, with the bedrooms all a good size - especially the master room which is really spacious and has lovely views. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped, with a proper oven (fairly uncommon in rentals in Bali I believe), and all the utensils we could need, including kid friendly cups and plates/bowls. And the living area is very comfortable, opening out onto the beautiful pool and garden. You really get the feeling that this is someones home, and looked after as such, rather than just another rental property. The location is very good, in a quiet area, but only a short walk to the beach and shops/restaurants, and it’s easy to grab a taxi close by when needed. Nofi, the villa manager, was really wonderful, and looked after us (and the villa) with 5 star service throughout our stay. She was fantastic with the boys, and was happy to look after our youngest when we needed, and to take our older son to his day care on occasion. She really made our stay at the Colonial extra special. Sharon, the owner, was also lovely, keeping in contact throughout our stay with great tips on where to go and what to do, and just making sure we were enjoying our time there. Thank you so much, we really hope we get the chance to visit again!

December 2015: A lovely experience. Sharon was easy to communicate with was very informative and helpful. The Villa was as described, spacious good sized bedrooms and well equipped. It was a short walk to the beach with restaurants and short bike ride to the centre. Nofi the house mother took care of all our needs she was amazing, we were offered a phone to keep in contact with her whilst we were out. She arranged our trips and restaurant bookings. We met 2 of our children in Bali. They arrived the day before us, Sharon recommend a nearby hotel for them to stay and Nofi met them the following morning and walked them round to the villa. The Villa was kept clean and tidy all day by Nofi but she was always discrete. Both Sharon and Nofi did everything possible to make our stay relaxing and an excellent experience of Bali. Thank you!

November 2015: Review villa Sanur We absolutely loved the colonial villa in Sanur in every aspect. The location is perfect, within minutes walk of the beach, shops and restaurants. The owner gave us lots of information beforehand and was really helpful and prompt in responding to many questions I had. The lady who helps out is the loveliest person and wonderful with kids. Ours felt so much at ease with her that she even did some babysitting so we could go off and do some cultural sightseeing. She also keeps the villa in immaculate condition and is very helpful in organising many things like transport, food, providing information on where to go etc. We were welcomed by her (even though we arrived in the middle of the night) and she made us a wonderful breakfast the next day! She also helped us find our way around the area. The drivers that took us around the island were also great and charged very reasonable prices. The villa itself is beautiful and all the things you may need are there (and much more!)- especially for families with kids. We made good use of the highchair, baby cot and our kids were very happy to discover that even toys were provided! The information on Airbnb doesn't do justice to the lovely place it is. It was so much more than just renting a place; it felt more like a luxurious home stay. We enjoyed our stay so much we would have loved for it to be longer and would happily return. We can't recommend the colonial villa highly enough!

October 2015: I booked this villa for a family get-together and we were all thrilled with this villa. Just walking up the drive, we knew we were in for a treat. We are 6 adults and one 5year old. The pool was perfect for the little girl, the shallow end just the right depth for her as a non swimmer anxious to learn. She had hours of fun and the inflatable crocodile was a real hit! The garden is just gorgeous, very tranquil and a good mix of sun and shade throughout the day. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and everywhere very clean. The kitchen is very well provided and the welcome goodies were generous, the living area is just great, homely and plenty of space for all. The villa manager is brilliant and so willing to make everything perfect for her guests. The situation is very convenient for the beach and local restaurants and not too far from the town and more facilities. We were all so comfortable that we almost didn't want to leave the villa for a minute! We are unanimous in recommending this villa for a truly relaxing holiday.

October 2015: We had a wonderful family holiday! We were made to feel very welcome: Sharon's housekeeper Nofi was at the villa with welcome drinks, fruit, and a bright smile. Nofi was very accommodating and knowledgable about calling taxi's/ordering in food, and did a great job with everyday housekeeping. Rooms/towels were cleaned/aired every day. The car rental service accessed through Sharon is very reliable and well worth the money - especially if you're going to make day trips. The villa itself has 3 beautiful rooms and is bright and clean and breezy. There is some construction in the next plot but the noise levels are bearable. The beach is a leisurely 10 minute walk away and a taxi or scooter is recommended for the older crowd. The garden and swimming pool area is smaller than in the photographs but very, very pretty. The villa is large, well maintained and the decor is beautiful. The living areas can be closed completely, so mosquitoes are not a problem. All in all, highly recommended :)
